My Style & Approach

I view the time we share together as precious and deeply honor the privilege of being invited into my client’s experience.  My therapeutic style is grounded in collaboration, curiosity, empathy, openness, and acceptance, as I believe these are the crucial building blocks for creating safety and transformative lasting change.  In therapy, my hope is to facilitate a process where clients can understand and make meaning of their experiences and feelings in a way that feels genuine and authentic. I value the connections I make with each of my clients and understand the complex interplay of biological, psychological, and sociological forces that influence us and shape our experiences together.

My style of therapy is predominantly Emotion Focused and Narrative Therapy based, however, I can also appreciate that no two people are the same and can adjust accordingly to what suits your needs best.

Education, Training, & Professional Development

I have completed my Master’s in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy at Yorkville University. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph-Humber where I obtained my Bachelor’s in Applied Sciences in Psychology and graduated with honours.

Additionally, I have volunteered with numerous community outreach programs where I’ve assisted at-risk youth, newly migrated families, as well as adolescents with various challenges such as bullying, stress, anxiety, depression, culture shock, as well as self-esteem. I am also currently undergoing training for Couples Therapy with the Gottman Institute.

Personal interests

I have been motivating myself to restart my fitness journey to spend 4 days out of the week trying to engage in some sort of physical activity. Additionally, I practice guided/mindfulness as I find it helps me remain calm, and start my day in a peaceful manner. I also love going for long walks with my dog, Major.

I come from a very musical family so my love for music is second nature. With that being said, I thoroughly enjoy singing (mainly in the shower or on long drives) and dancing. I even participate in carnival here in Toronto and hope to participate in other countries in the near future. In my spare time, I also love catching up with my friends and family or indulging in a really good tv show. However, my one true love (after my dog Major of course) is traveling and seeing new places.
