My Style & Approach
As your therapist, I will help guide you through your own journey with your mental health. I hope to improve your quality of life, better your relationship with yourself, and be there for you when you need me. I focus on managing stress, reducing symptoms of anxiety, regulating your nervous system, increasing your self-awareness, processing trauma and emotional pain, and working through shame and self-criticism. I tailor each session to your goals and needs and even make custom handouts to better support & guide you.
Education, Training, & Professional Development
I have completed my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and previously obtained my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Child, Youth, and Family Studies at the University of Guelph. I've completed various workshops and training focused on shame, anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, and attachment styles.
Personal interests
Aside from my work as a therapist, I spend most of my time at hot yoga or spin, hanging with my two dogs Louie and Ellie, and watching binge-worthy tv series with my partner. I love a good psychological thriller - one of my favorite books is "the anonymous girl" and the occasional romantic comedy. When I'm not inside watching a show or reading a book I love being outdoors in nature. I enjoy hiking, being by the water, or simply enjoying the sunsets.
